Dr. Amanda, Dr. Jessica, Wendy and Chelsea traveled to Salisbury to provide a day of volunteer dentistry. They had a great time giving back and meeting some wonderful people!

We had a great time spreading holiday cheer throughout Pasadena in the holiday kick-off parade. Thank you to all of our wonderful patients who helped us to collect cans for the food drive. Mrs. Tooth and our Happy SMILE were a big hit!

Dr. Jessica's first volunteer dental trip was to Vietnam with Operation Smile. She traveled to Hue, Vietnam, to provide dental care to children in the town of Hue and the surrounding rural areas. She provided care in a small clinic and also from dental vans that travelled to schools in the rural areas. A big part of the trip was providing tooth brushes to the children and showing them how to use them. For most of the children, this was their first toothbrush. The children were very appreciative and excited to learn about how to improve their oral health.

Dr. Amanda's first volunteer dental trip was to Pavlsok, Russia. There, she provided dental care in an orphanage for handicapped children. The children received dental treatment and education on how to care for their teeth.

Drs. Amanda, Alison, and Jessica traveled to Vietnam to provide volunteer dental care to children in need. Children in downtown, Hue', were provided care in a clinic set up through Operation Smile. Treatment was provided to rural area schools from mobile dental vans. Many of the children already had severe tooth decay. Children received toothbrushes and were taught how to care for their teeth and gums. It was exciting because most of the children had never owned a toothbrush before. The sisters had a wonderful experience visiting beautiful areas of Vietnam and making a difference for the children's oral health.

Dr. Amanda traveled to San Pedro to provide dental care in the San Pedro Smile Center. This dental clinic was set up by a local philanthropist to provide care to children who would otherwise not have access to dental treatment. All dental care in this clinic is provided by visiting volunteer dentists. Belize is a beautiful island and it was great to make a difference for the children.

Baker Sisters Family Dental Care participated in the annual Pasadena Caring and Sharing Parade. The team had a great time marching through the local community handing out Xylitol tooth lollipops (which actually help fight tooth decay). The parade serves a food drive to stock the local food bank for the upcoming holidays.
